HOMESCHOOL WORKSHOP - This class will be introducing aspiring actors to an amusing script based on "A Christmas Carol" that is appropriate for all ages. This short play will be auditioned, rehearsed, and put into a mini-production with an in-class showcase performance on the last day of class. Students will learn how to memorize lines efficiently, how to build characters, and how to block/stage scenes. Taught by Teaching Artist Karen Fox, this 2 hour class meets Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:55pm.

HOMESCHOOL WORKSHOP - Our Homeschool Theatre Games class will be a semester-based program introducing fun, structured theatrical games for students. Incorporating these fun theatre games can assist beginners and experienced students alike with memory/retention, confidence building skills, muscle coordination, taking calculated risks, and public speaking, this type of class can be the spark of what begins an interest in the performing arts or just allows students to come out of their shells.

HOMESCHOOL WORKSHOP - NEW! - This Playwriting class will focus on writing individual scenes to culiminate in one short play entitled, "Letters to Santa." Students will learn how to format scripts, develop characters, learn how to writing exciting dialogue, and all will have the chance to read their scenes in a staged reading at the end of the semester. Students will need to bring notepads, writing utencils, and anything else requested from the instructor.

HOMESCHOOL WORKSHOP - NEW! - We are excited to offer a Technical Theatre Production Class for the Fall 2024 semester! This class will supplement our Tuesday Mini-Play Production Workshop as technical assistance covering several aspects behind-the-scenes: costume design, prop building, stage management, as well as set design. Several fun projects will assist students in learning and developing relevant skills: ugly doll creation will be used to teach sewing skills and particular stitches (students can keep these!), utilizing scripts to research and design props and sets, and students will receive a tour of our prop basement, scene and costume shop, as well as our historic theatre! This is perfect for those that enjoy theatre but would prefer to be behind the scenes.
